Amazing Tasty Dessert

In the hot summer, ice cream is my favorite type of dessert. Do you think that eating ice cream and health can't be in the same sentence? What if I tell you the 100% natural banana ice cream is great to combine tasty with health benefits?
Ingredients:
Bananas, optional add the flavor ingredients (peanuts/honey/peppermint/chocolate/fruits/coconut milk
Recipe:
  1. Bananas peeled, chop them into small pieces
  2. Store these banana pieces in the fridge
  3. Put the frozen banana pieces into the fruit blender for few minutes until it turns to stickiness texture (optional to add milk)
  4. And then add the flavor ingredients:
  • Peanut + honey
  • Fresh peppermint + chocolate + honey
  • Almond jam + coconut oil + coconut milk
  • Blueberry + lemon skin peels
  • Cherries + honey

Health benefits:
  1. Bananas contain B6 that can help to relieve morning sickness and irritability.  Lack of B6 in a diet causes weakness and insomnia.
  2. Eating bananas contribute to cardiovascular health from the rich content of cereal fiber, potassium, and magnesium.
  3. Banana contains the unique mix of vitamins, minerals, and low glycemic carbohydrates to keep the energy level.
  4. Serotonin is the “happy hormone” for promoting the good mood.  Bananas contain the amino acid of tryptophan that contributes to producing serotonin. Banana makes you a happy eater.

What Is The One Thing You Most Want To Do Outdoor With Your Kid?

8/11/2017

I can't wait to get ready for the summer trip.  Happiness is traveling to somewhere new, trying something different. No matter it is an RV camping or long haul trip to the foreign country, it provides the amazing experience to bond the family relation and stimulating the children visual spatial intelligent.  What better way to raise resilient kids by triggering the children curiosity from shaking them out of our routine to smelling, seeing, and touching the beauty of nature.  No surprise when the child comes to ask you:

  • Why there is a rainbow after the rain?
  • Why I can’t understand the words from the birds?
  • Will a seed grow a tree inside my body?
  • Will the plant feel painful when I cut it?
  • Is this animal a boy or a girl?
What is the one thing you most want to do outdoor with your kids?

1. Biking

"I want to ride the bike with the kid. Nothing compares to this simple pleasure feeling the wind on our cheeks and use up a lot of our fuel" ~ Nicholas, a dad.
Head out for a day of cycling on a scenic route is fantastic.   Find the campground with bike-specific mountain trails or recreational bike paths.  Stick to the quiet roads, stop every hour to let the kid get out and play and explore, keep the cycling speed slow, it is not a race, after all.  Nothing beats boredom like a camera in kid’s hands.

Give them a camera is fine but make sure the kid has a pen and paper to write down his/her exploration and feeling.  The kid might re-visit the same place in some other year, even if the scenery is unchanged, the feeling is not the same. Write now, read later, treasure forever.

2. Fishing

"I’m perfectly happy to take the kid fishing.  I model calm and patience of the catch. Just the two of us together, share stories with each other. My son would remember his best day of holding fish in a picture, and the bucket full of great memories" ~ Tom, a dad.
Fishing is the most relaxing of all the camping activities.  Grab the poles and head out with the kid to catch the fish, put away all the electronic devices and just take in the scenery and fresh air.  Some kids get bored easily from fishing as he may spend hours to wait for the catch.  It's a great way to let the kid understands to keep trying until he reaches the success from perseverance and determination.

3. Tree house

"When we’re in a tree house, it brought me back to when I was 12 years old.  The kids were imagining they were in a Western somewhere looking for once of a life time experience" ~ Jack, a dad.
The kids have so much fun if the campground has the tree houses. The children would get excited about the tangle of green limbs swaddled the tree house like a living hammock.  What an escapist fantasy embrace with the emotions for adventure seeking and proximity to the wild of nature, hopefully, the creepy crawlers such as spiders and stick bugs would not scare you. The kids may feel climbing the ladder fifty times a day is funny, but the rope ladders and climbing ropes are where most of the falls occur. The hurt would be fatal if a child jumps and falls, and end up string up off the ground.

4. Play Silly Games

"Go out and play the silly games with the kid. It’s what the kid always wanted to do" ~ Jenny, a mom.
Play the silly games such as seeing who can throw a leaf the farthest make the little kids giggle for hours.  You might like to play other simple games such as the nature scavenger hunt, glowing ring toss, park ranger, shadowing, camping bingo and so on.  I like to play the kind of games that require no toys or any complicated supplies.

Are the games too simple for the big kids? Try the level up version of nature scavenger hunt.  Assign a series of tasks such as catch a fish, skip a rock, hike to the top of a hill, see a squirrel, hear a birdsong, and cross a creek bed without getting wet feet.  You would never short of the idea of playing games with the kids.
