Ever imagine a fancy escape to Hawaii for exploring, swimming, shopping and whatever you want to do in paradise?  It's amazing to take a break allowing yourself coming out from the track of daily routine on vacation in Hawaii.

The Beaches

1. Waikiki

Waikiki located on the south shore of Honolulu. It's amazing to feel the aloha spirit in the beautiful Waikiki beaches.  You can swim, sunbathe, or take your surfing lessons.  Strolling along the beaches and they're in the walking distance to the hotels, restaurants and shopping malls.

2. Hanauma Bay

It is a circular-shaped beach located on the southeast tip of East Honolulu. It is one of the premier destinations for snorkeling and discovers the underwater wonders. Who knows, you may be so lucky get an intimate touch with the giant tortoise or other preserve ocean creatures.

Market and Shopping

3. Waikele Premium Outlets

Great place to grab the bargain in this Hawaii outlet center. It's the only outlet center in Hawaii.  You can find an assortment of legendary brands stores without a high price tag including Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Kipling and so on.

4. Farmer Market

If you want to buy something original, fresh and handmade, let’s go the weekly farmer market. It opens one day per week.  Probably you can find the local made raw and cooked food, fruits, vegetables, snacks, more and more.

5. Ala Moana Center

Ala Moana Center is the largest shopping mall in Hawaii located in Honolulu. If you’re seeking the pleasure of shopping luxury stuff or any other entertainment, it’s surely a great place to go.

Food

Local Hawaiian food is not my taste. Someone may like it, but not me. I would like to eat something else.

6. Matsumoto Shave Ice

It was a family owned store established in 1951 by the Japanese immigrants.  The store located in the small historic town of Haleiwa on Oahu's North Shore.  Many people love to eat this shave ice as it has exotic flavors topping with colorful syrup.

7. North Shore Shrimp

There are individually owned and operated trucks that sell mostly local, fresh shrimps along the island's North Shore, mostly near the town of Kahuku.  The key is fresh. The shrimps are directly caught from the shrimp pool nearby the trucks.  Each truck has a unique style and flavor but most serve both the basic garlic & butter and the hot and spicy shrimp along with their individual specialties.

Theme Sites

8. Pearl Harbor

A sad history. We have to learn something from history.

9. Polynesian Cultural Center

The entrance fee is around US$80. You can enjoy seeing the typical Hawaiian dance, 15 minutes boating trip, below-average dinner buffet and an impressive night show.

10. Pineapple Plantation

It was a plantation site in history and has a small sample site for showing the growth of pineapples.   You don’t want to miss the fresh pineapple ice cream when visiting the site. What’s more, the children will have so much fun to take a short “liberty” train trip.

Geographic Natural Wonders

11. Diamond Head

12. Hālona Blowhole

What an amazing crafts from nature which is located right on the highway of Oahu. Why it exists? It is because "thousands of years ago when volcanoes were still active on Oahu, Koko Crater's lava flowed into the ocean there at Hālona Point. The molten lava tubes from volcanic eruptions that occurred thousands of years ago formed the natural occurrence known as the Hālona Blowhole. The lava tubes extend into the ocean which is very narrow at the top, and when the surf is just right, the mighty blowhole can shoot sea spray up to thirty feet high in the air. The blowhole is most active when the tide is high and the winds are strong." (from Wikipedia)
