Mind Your Words

Researchers had proved that 0~6 years old children would absorb all the information into their mind without filtering.  What your child heard from you get soaked into his mind like water into the sponge which will result in shaping their blueprints of beliefs in their whole life. If you always say “no” to your child, he or she would imprint subconscious beliefs that:

I’m not worthy.
I’m not good enough,
I’m not smart enough.
It’s selfish for me to want more. I should be happy with what I have. I don’t deserve it.
I can’t get what I want. Even if I try, I will fail.
I’ve already tried everything and nothing has worked.
Nothing ever works out for me.
I’m going to humiliate, shamed or look ridiculed

Motherhood life is an endless loop of sleepless nights and tons of stress. Your mental strings are pulled tight as a violin. Don’t be angry or disruptive to your kids merely because you can be. Words carry weight.  Just like the toothpaste, you can’t take back the words once the words leave your mouth. Mind your words carefully. What you say and what the child hears may not the same thing.  Don’t let a single day go by without telling the child (via power of positivity):

I know you can do this
I believe in you
I trust you
You are special
I’m proud of you
You make me happy
I like it when you do such good thing
I’m grateful for you
I love you
When you……., I like it
You are doing great
You are a good child because…..
You’re amazing
Oh!  When you………., this show you had grown up
Do you know that you can’t do that in one year before and now you can?
You do it by yourself! Good job.
